16th Annual Polish Film Festival Los Angeles

Egyptian Theatre - Laemmle's NoHo7 and Royal



The Polish American Film Society is proud to announce the 16th Annual Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles (October 13 – 22, 2015) celebrating the greatest achievements of Polish filmmakers.

The festival will open with THE CITIZEN (Obywatel) by Jerzy Stuhr, winner of the Special Jury Award at Gdynia Film Festival, on October 13, 2015 with a star-studded gala during which both Polish and American moviemakers will walk the red carpet at Hollywood's legendary Egyptian Theatre. An extravagant start to a ten-day-long celebration of Polish Cinema through October 22, 2015 with subsequent  screenings at the Laemmle's NoHo 7 and Royal Theaters.


For the sixteenth time, the Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles will present the most recent achievements of Polish cinema, feature films, documentaries, animations, and a series of short films, including:

  • Cinema Without Borders Special Jury Award for a Short Film:  INTERRUPTION (Przerwanie) by Adam Suzin
  • The Hollywood Eagle Animation Award:  IT'S QUITE TRUE! (To pewna wiadomosc!) by Joanna Jasinska-Koronkiewicz  
  • The Hollywood Eagle Documentary Award: CALL ME MARIANNA (Mow mi Marianna) by Karolina Bielawska
  • The Hollywood Eagle Best Feature Award: WARSAW 44 (Miasto 44) by Jan Komasa
