Oscar Entries 2020

Submissions to the 93rd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film

As of today, we have several submissions announced to the 93rd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. Last year there were 93 submissions from around the world. Stay tuned for more submissions for this year as they get announced.

The category was previously called the Best Foreign Language Film, but this was changed in April 2019 to Best International Feature Film, after the Academy deemed the word "Foreign" to be outdated.

The deadline for submissions is extended until late 2020. The Academy is scheduled to announce a list of eligible submissions in late December 2020 from which 15 finalists will be shortlisted on February 9, 2021. The final five nominees will be announced on March 15, 2021. The winner will be announced on April 25, 2021 at the Oscar ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
